Every Painting has a home...

Olympus Park 2008
Yesterday I got a phone call from the Salish Sea Market asking me if I had ever painted a picture with a tidal pool, starfish and a tall island in the background.I immediately knew who was asking, although I had not seen this girl for 8 yrs….

Although it was another busy tourist season in 2007, I remembered my conversation with Lisa at the Major Art Gallery so long ago now. She told me at that time someday she would own that painting. That was that, time went by, Major Gallery closed and I opened my own studio gallery here in beautiful downtown Bowser.

Over the years I have come so close, so many times to selling “Olympus Park” and for one reason or another it didn’t sell.

Now I know why ~ it was waiting for Lisa to find it. And yesterday she did.

It was a moment for sure when Lisa saw it again ~ she smiled as if at the end of a long journey which had ended so well. She said” I have envisioned this moment so many times and never thought I would find it again as I didn’t remember how to spell your name.”

“Olympus Park” has a new home and I am so glad all those near sales were all misses. “Olympus Park” spoke for itself as to where is wanted to reside and Lisa’s home is the place.

Thank you fate…

Wow! What a great story. I too believe in fate and that everything happens for a reason.
